Tixie began his engineering career at King Jammy's Studios before joining Anchor, he says the difference in experience between both studios is that "Anchor gave me the opportunity to expand my clientele base by allowing me more control over who I work with". Recently he toured with Anthony B and Bushman as a sound engineer and he does a lot of work with Sizzla by managing his recordings and mixing his tracks.

Area of Speciality: "Dancehall mixing is my area of speciality; the sound that I'm best known for is called the, 'Voop Voop' mix and I am the man to come to for that. I have a distinctive sound when I mix - I'm known for it."

How did you begin your career: "My love for music began very young and out of it, I started my own sound, True Love Supreme Sound. Starting the sound grew my interest in engineering; I wanted to know how all the equipment worked and what they could do. The first track I ever mixed was also the first track Bounty ever voiced, "The Gunnin'" - so I can say that Bounty gave me my first chance at mixing. As my career progressed I ran into many more lucky breaks; Kings of Kings gave me my first international experience on the road when they took me on a one month tour to Canada and the US as his sound engineer - it was a great learning experience."

What makes you unique in the industry: "I am unique in this business as I try to be as straight as possible - I have learned that just like the world, everything in this industry is round; all things will come right back to you - I try to be straight and honest so nothing negative comes back to haunt me."
